Trustee Update 14th March 2010
Wishing all of the Members and Supporters of the Gwrych Castle Preservation Trust the very best for this long awaited Spring and hoping for warmer weather and longer days!
We are grateful that the majority of Members have renewed with the Trust for 2010 and thank you for your support which is very much appreciated and valued.
It was a great disappointment for Clayton Homes to hear that they were affected by the recession and thus were rendered into administration. At present Gwch Castle is awaiting offers of purchase and we look forward to working with the new owners of Gwrych, to carry on our work.
Thank goodness that we have never disbanded the Trust. We always said it would not be easy and we expected the path to be turbulent, but it is because of our staying power that we remain firmly behind Gwrych and the hope of restoration for future generations. We will not be giving up.
We continue with our gathering throughout the year and we will keep you informed of any events that arise, please look through the web site for photo's of last years events.
Our AGM will be posted on the web site once we have the date later in the year and we look forward to continuing our work and to your continuing support which makes this possible.
Thank you so much for your 2010 Membership to the Gwyrch Castle Preservation Trust, we look forward to your support and please keep checking our site for updates.
We have our Annual Christmas Dinner for Members booked for 4th December 2010 at 6.30pm at the North Wales Golf Club in Llandudno and reservations are best to be booked early. After trying to shop around for other places, we have found this to be the best for value for Members. This will include entertainment and raffle and is always a sold out event. Please see the web site for details which will include the menu and you can also see photographs from over the previous Annual Christmas Dinner events. It is a great evening and starts the Christmas festivities off with a warm informal evening with a candlelit Christmas meal, good company and entertainment with a very warm welcome.
Details will be posted on the web site regarding this event and others through the summer.
We must keep positive and we must keep our spirits raised for the future of Gwrych.
With kindest regards,
E Salt
