Summer 2007
2007 has been one of the most important and pivotal years in the history of Gwrych Castle. Around the New Year the sale of Gwrych was finalised, thus ending many years of neglectful ownership. The purchasers were Clayton Homes whose founder had, as a child, visited Gwrych many times. Trustees of the Gwrych Castle Preservation Trust were invited in early February to the headquarters of Clayton Homes to meet with the new owners, who discussed their previous projects and their proposals for the restoration of the Castle.
The trustees would like to thank all Members for their continuing support and we look forward to continuing our work alongside the new owners. Please be assured that we will keep you informed of developments.
We are hoping to feature a ‘photo diary’ of the renovation work at Gwrych on the Trust Website with bi-monthly updates. Keep checking for updates!
