Autumn 2006
Hoping this Newsletter finds you in good health.
Thank you to all Members for the on-going support to the Gwrych Trust, your encouragement and continuing interest is greatly valued. Although the Castle was offered at auction, the reserve failed to be met and amidst great speculation the Castle remains unsold. The combined efforts of the Castle Trust have certainly helped to highlight the plight of this majestic building and we are proud to say that we are one of the largest Building Preservation Trusts in Wales. Due to the enormous success of the Gwrych Trust Annual Christmas Dinner we have an invitation to attend the Llandudno Golf Club (details on the members site).
Our events so far this year have been very well supported. These include the Garden Party at Brynethin in Conwy during August; in addition, we had a tremendous response, as always at the Abergele Library Exhibition.
Thank you to all for your support and attendance with these events. The new publication ‘The Myths and Legends of the Gwrych Castle Estate’ (by Mark Baker) is currently available at local shops.
