Thank you to each and every Member for your continued support throughout 2007 and for your future support as we await developments for Gwrych Castle
On 8th December at the North Wales Golf Club, 80 Members and supporters of the Trust enjoyed a spectacular candlelit Annual Dinner. Entertainment was provided by the San Sior Children's Choir of national fame for their fine voice and the choir were recently asked to perform as special guests of the Savoy Hotel in London.
We were very pleased to have the support of Mr Alun Barratt, Mayor of Llandudno who provided a supportive speech to the long term and ongoing work of the Trust, alongside Michael Tree, Principal Trustee who issued his vision statement for the future of the Trust and all Members and supporters of the Trust were thanked by both Mark Baker and Michael Tree.

Mark Isherwood AM provided his annual speech which outlined that the Trust is concerned with the plight of many other 'buildings at risk' in North Wales and the Trust provides a forum for those who share their concern to gather together.
Jason Sanderson of Clayton Hotels reported that whilst progress was limited at Gwrych, the building has great potential and is in a tremendous location. Clayton Hotels hope that they will be able to develop the Castle into a luxury 5 star hotel and we await news regarding the clearance work proposed and the submission of any plans in 2008.
The overall conclusion was that we should remain united as a Trust and that we continue to remain in contact with the new owners and await developments.
For certain the Annual Christmas Gathering provides a venue for all Trust Members and supporters to come together and we hope that this will continue at the Castle once restoration is complete.
We will most certainly be waiting for the lights to be turned on in Gwrych Castle so that we can be enjoying our gatherings once more at the Castle.
Wishing you all a Very Happy Christmas and a Healthy New Year.
