Anna

Anna attends a school in the Abergele Area. She produced a project on Gwrych Castle, which she has lent to us. Here you will find pictures and extracts from Anna’s project.
The Trust would like to thank Anna for caring about Gwrych, and for allowing us the privilege of sharing it with you.

What it’s like today and
How it came to ruin

Jan 1997 Sadly the beautiful Georgian Gwrych Castle was wreaked, torn apart by vandals, the New Age Travelers, and thieves and consequently the precious Italian Marble off the Marble Staircase was stolen and sold off. (Some was sold on Abergele Market)

Remember Castles are monumental
Do NOT wreck them
Save them

How should we stop the castle from being vandelised, neglected, and used by criminals?
We should stop it by:
(1) Ring the police or Crimestoppers can be told if you see or witness anything.
(2) If you know anyone who vandalises it tell them to stop, if you can’t ring the Police or crimestoppers
(3) Join the Gwrych Castle Preservation Trust.
